Your Role
As a Road Planner, you will be responsible for the daily planning and coordination of international road transport to and from Spain and Portugal. You will work closely with carriers, internal sales teams, and customers to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and reliable transport solutions.
This role requires strong operational insight, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and coordinate international road transport (FTL & LTL) to and from Spain and Portugal
• Manage daily transport schedules, capacity planning, and carrier allocation
• Maintain close contact with transport partners and negotiate loading times and availability
• Monitor shipments, anticipate delays, and proactively resolve operational issues
• Coordinate documentation and ensure compliance with international transport regulations
• Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to align planning with client needs
• Optimize routes, costs, and load efficiency while maintaining service quality
• Act as the main point of contact for Iberian road transport operations
Requirements
• 3–5 years of experience in international road transport planning
• Fluent in English, Spanish (must), and Dutch (spoken and written)
• Strong knowledge of FTL, LTL, and European road transport regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Experience working with TMS systems is a plus
• Available to work on a flexible schedule when required to support operational needs
